Privacy policy

Plain words, no fine-print games. Here's what this site collects, why, and what you can do about it.

Last updated: October 2, 2026

Who runs this site

Company Officer Forge (companyofficerforge.com) is run by Daniel Thompson. When this policy says "we" or "us," it means Company Officer Forge.

What we collect

  • Your email address, if you sign up for the free First 90 Days as a Company Officer checklist. It's the only thing the signup form asks for.
  • Basic technical data. This site is hosted on Cloudflare. To deliver the page and protect the site from attacks, Cloudflare may process technical and usage data such as your IP address, browser details, and server logs. Cloudflare may also set security cookies it considers strictly necessary for that job.
  • Font requests. The page loads its fonts from Google Fonts. To send the fonts to your browser, Google receives your IP address and basic browser information.

Why we use it

We use your email address to send you the free First 90 Days checklist and occasional emails with new free tools and articles. That's it.

The technical data is used by Cloudflare and Google to deliver the site and its fonts and keep them secure.

Who handles your email address

Our email list runs on Kit (formerly ConvertKit). When you sign up, your email address is stored with Kit, and Kit sends our emails. Read Kit's privacy policy.

For the other services mentioned above, see Cloudflare's privacy policy and Google's privacy policy.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell your personal information.
  • This site doesn't run its own analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising cookies.

Your choices

  • Unsubscribe anytime. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Use it and you'll stop getting our emails.
  • Delete your data. To have your email address deleted from our list, email [CONTACT EMAIL].

Children

This site is for firefighters and fire officers. It isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has signed up, contact [CONTACT EMAIL] and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date at the top.
